South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter B.I (Kim Hanbin) embarked on a journey to meet European IDs in a total of fourteen countries for his "Love Or Die" tour back in September and October.

KpopConcertsEurope was able to catch a glimpse of the charismatic solo artist in Utrecht, the very date that opened his European tour! Thanks to Tivoli, we were allowed to take pictures from front of the stage, so we are happy that we managed to capture some good shots of Hanbin. Scroll down to see all pictures!

The Venue

TivoliVredenburg is a music complex located in Utrecht that was designed acoustically for concerts. It also features an "amateur stage" and a cafe. The venue is very well accessible with both Trains, Buses and Cars; having a train station within a 2 minute walk, with parking garages too.

The concert hall B.I performed in was "Ronda" which holds up to 2.000 fans. The tickets for the show were, in fact, sold out quickly. The high amount of fans that came to see him made for a wonderful atmosphere for the artist too!

The Organization

The tour was organized by TRANSPARENT ARTS and WONDER. TRANSPARENT ARTS was founded under American hip hop crew Far East Movement and feature Korean rock band The Rose, Girls' Generation member Tiffany Young as well as rappers Dumbfoundead and Year of the Ox.

The Concert

With Utrecht having been the very first show of B.I's "Love Or Die" tour, fans were noticeably excited. They had been waiting for hours to get a good view of the rapper, some of them queueing at the venue as early as 2am.

Friend and co-producer of iKON's "Love Scenario" Millenium opened the show to vibe up the crowd around 19:45. Amongst other songs, he played NewJeans' "Ditto", getting people excited for the upcoming show. With the crowd being hyped already, it was easy for B.I to keep his fans engaged. They were cheering and screaming for him as he got closer to IDs, holding their hands during his solo set or introducing a new song he specifically produced for his upcoming tour. He engaged with the crowd flawlessly, making everyone jump and feel his excitement to finally be on tour and to be able to perform his songs in front of 2.000 IDs. Not only did he interact well with the crowd or showed off his slick dance moves, he also brought fans on stage that were able to dance to his hit song "BTBT" with him. Those (literal) fan-cams went viral on TikTok and Twitter, making even non-IDs fall for the charming singer-songwriter.

The energy level at the concert stayed high until the very end when B.I asked if fans were ready to leave the show already but of course, they were not. With a lot of love and graditude, telling IDs "Thank you guys for coming to my show, I love you guys!", he eventually closed the show, leaving a great impression of the charismatic idol. On a personal note: I didn't know the artist very well before this concert, but he made sure to catch our hearts too!
