Photography by Tessa van Damme It’s October 21st, and fans are lining up outside the venue in Amstelveen. The atmosphere is already buzzing with excitement for BAIN. Even before he takes the stage, the party has already begun — fans are singing and dancing to the ambient music filling the venue.

Screams erupt as the lights dim and BAIN steps onto the stage in his faux-fur coat. He opens his set with covers of Abracadabra and Judas by Lady Gaga, and Buttons by The Pussycat Dolls. Greeting the crowd with smiles and gratitude, he begins to share his story about love — and how it can sometimes be toxic.

Next up are his covers of Toxic by Britney Spears, Bad Romance by Lady Gaga, Unholy by Sam Smith, River by Bishop Briggs, and Beggin’ by Måneskin.

Then, BAIN introduces a very special guest: Geonu, his groupmate from JUST B, who has joined him on this tour. Together, they announce that something special is about to happen — but they’ll need our help. They pick six lucky fans to come on stage for a dance battle! When the music starts, the stage erupts with energy, and even the audience clears space for a dance circle of their own.

After the battle, BAIN and Geonu thank the fans with cheers and high-fives. BAIN then announces he’s going to change outfits and hands the stage over to Geonu, who performs his song Ray and even gives a teaser of JUST B’s upcoming comeback.

When BAIN returns in a sparkly new outfit, he performs Guess by Charli XCX and Take Me to Church by Hozier. For the next stage, he needs help again — this time from one lucky fan, who’s led onstage and seated in a chair. BAIN appears with a blindfold, and the crowd goes absolutely wild in anticipation. The lights dim, he blindfolds the fan, and S&M by Rihanna begins to play. Throughout the performance, BAIN alternates between singing to the audience and the fan. At the end, he removes the blindfold, takes the fan’s hand, and they dance together on stage. They exchange hugs and thank-yous before the fan leaves — clearly having experienced an unforgettable moment.

In the next ment, BAIN talks about going to his first gay club in Korea and how he wants to visit one here. He asks the crowd for recommendations, which leads perfectly into his next song, Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. Before performing, he checks if we know the dance moves for HOT TO GO! — and since most of the crowd already does, they go over it quickly before performing it together with full energy.

Finally, it’s time for the last two songs: Grace Kelly by Mika and, of course, Born This Way by Lady Gaga. During these songs, the lights turn rainbow-colored, a pride flag is handed to BAIN, and the crowd even starts a Dutch-style conga line (the polonaise). BAIN shares his heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Amsterdam, this is the best!”

But of course, we all know it’s not quite over yet. Cheers for an encore fill the venue, the rainbow lights return, and BAIN comes back out to perform Abracadabra by Lady Gaga one last time. Afterward, it’s truly time for final thanks, goodbyes, and — of course — a group photo with the fans.
