[EXCLUSIVE] Interview with PSYCHIC FEVER

Get ready, ForEVER!

The dynamic boy group PSYCHIC FEVER is gearing up for their first European tour this summer. The seven-member group consists of Tsurugi, Nakanishi Ryoga, Watanabe Ren, JIMMY, Kohatsu Kokoro, Handa Ryushin, and WEESA.

They made their major debut on July 13, 2022, with their studio album “P.C.F“, showcasing their unique blend of dance, rap, and vocal performances.

Before kicking off their tour, KpopConcertsEurope was able to catch up with PSYCHIC FEVER. To ask them some questions. 

THE INTERVIEW

Your new album is really catchy with a great summer vibe. What inspired you all to get to

this album?

KOKORO: The summer heat [laughs]. We wanted to create something that would help

forEVERS cool off this summer wherever and whenever they’re listening to these songs.

  “Gelato” is the lead track of your new album. Could you tell us a little about the creative

process of how this song came to be?

REN: “Gelato” is a song about summertime, as we wanted to create a track that perfectly

embodied the season ahead. It demonstrates the type of love that reminds you of a warm

summer day. The melody and lyrics capture similar emotions, as they are meant to remind you of a beautiful summer’s day spent with the people you love.

  What are you most excited about, for your upcoming Europe tour?

RYOGA: We’re always excited to travel and explore somewhere new! Besides meeting our

overseas fans in person, we’re excited to visit local tourist spots and try new food.

Tell us have you been practising your German and English for the concerts?

WEESA: Of course! We’ve been taking lessons and practicing with each other in our spare

time just so we can communicate with fans directly during our fan meetings. We can’t wait to show off what we’ve picked up on stage with everyone!

To new fans who might not know you just yet, what is your personal favourite PSYCHIC

FEVER song?

REN: Just Like Dat! It’s our most widely known track.

RYUSHIN: Asymmetry! It’s sung by KOKORO and WEESA. Their voices blend so well!

WEESA: Rocket (Take You Higher). I love R&B so it’s always fun to perform this song.

TSURUGI: Temperature! The rap parts are very addicting.

JIMMY: It’s a close tie between Rocket (Take You Higher) and Snow Candy. Both songs are

super chill!

KOKORO: What’s Happenin’. I can listen to it on repeat!

RYOGA: BAKU BAKU. I love the choreography.

  Without spoiling, what can we expect in Europe?

KOKORO: You can expect a lot of new choreography, many fan meets and lots of fun!

Last but not least, what is everyone’s favourite gelato flavour?

REN: Pistachio

RYUSHIN: Mint?

WEESA: Vanilla

TSURUGI: Chocolate

JIMMY: Lemon

KOKORO: Strawberry

RYOGA: Vanilla
