We were able to have an interview with 2Z, just as they wrapped up their Glorydayz Tour in Europe. 2Z is currently continuing its tour in South America.

1 - This was your first tour in Europe. What was your reaction to hearing you'd be coming

to Europe?

HOJIN - On one hand, I felt a sense of relief, and on the other, an overwhelming excitement.

We had actually planned and promised a European tour twice since 2023, but unfortunately,

we weren’t able to keep those promises. I think there were fans who kept waiting for us back

then, but eventually drifted away. That made us feel really sorry and heartbroken.

So being able to finally keep our promise and go to Europe to meet our fans brought me so

much joy and relief.

That said, preparing for this tour wasn’t easy either. I can’t share all the details, but at one

point, not long before the tour, we even lost contact with the promoter who was organizing the shows, and it honestly felt quite hopeless.

But once we arrived in Europe, I realized that while our CEO Jay and all the members worked incredibly hard, there were also so many journalists, media outlets, and promoters in Italy, France, the Czech Republic, and the UK who supported us and helped make this tour possible. We just finished our final show in the UK yesterday, and it’s hard to believe that something we waited six years for is already over in just two weeks. I guess that’s what touring feels like—there’s always a sense of emptiness and longing when it ends.

Of course, we’ll be back again.

2 - What has been the biggest difference between performing in Korea and performing in Europe? JungHyun - I think the biggest difference is how the audience expresses their energy. In Korea, people tend to focus more on listening and feeling the music, while in Europe, the reactions are much more direct and expressive. Also, since we don’t get to visit Europe as often, each show feels more special, and that makes the energy even more intense.

3 - You just finished your European tour, what is your favourite memory?

BUMJUN - Looking back on our Europe tour, the most memorable moment for me was that

feeling on stage where something that should have felt new didn’t feel unfamiliar at all.

I felt that especially strongly during our show in Chapeau Rouge club in Czech Republic.

It was our first time meeting many of the fans there, but as the performance went on, it felt like the distance between us kept getting smaller. At the beginning, there was a sense of unfamiliarity, but once the music started, that gap disappeared almost instantly, and we became connected through the same energy.

What also left a strong impression on me was the way the audience looked at us. It didn’t feel like they were just watching a performance—they were really listening, feeling, and connecting with each song. That level of focus and emotion came back to us on stage, and it allowed us to perform with even more intensity and sincerity.

Through this tour, I was reminded once again that music truly has the power to connect people beyond language and borders, and that’s something I’ll carry with me for a long time.

-

ZUNON - Looking back on this tour, what stays with me most vividly isn’t a specific place, but the moments we experienced.

In Italy, we performed three times—in Milan, Bologna, and Brescia. Milan and Bologna were

opportunities to reunite with FromA who had already been waiting for us, while Brescia,

through the Gardacon event, became a meaningful moment where we gained new FromA who discovered us for the first time.

In France, what stood out the most was the unique venue that looked like a historic tunnel,

along with the passionate energy of the French FromA who filled that space and made it truly unforgettable.

In the Czech Republic, during the performance, the cheers from FromA were beyond anything I had imagined—it honestly felt like my eardrums might burst from the sheer energy and excitement :)

And finally, in the UK, it was especially impressive to see fans dancing from beginning to end, fully enjoying the performance with their own groove and vibe.

Each country had its own distinct color and mood, but the excitement and nervousness right before stepping on stage felt the same everywhere. All of those moments came together to make our 2026 “Glorydayz in Europe” tour truly special.

4 - If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be?

NUA - If we could perform anywhere in the world as 2Z, it would be at Glastonbury Festival.

There’s something powerful about standing on a stage where so many legendary artists have performed, and connecting with a massive, diverse crowd that truly lives for music.

Glastonbury isn’t just a festival—it’s a place where different cultures, sounds, and emotions

come together.

As a band, we want our music to reach people beyond language, and that kind of global

energy is exactly what drives us.

Ultimately, wherever we go, the goal is the same: to make people feel something real through our music.

5 - Who is the member who could perform all day long?

ZUNON - I think it would probably be Junghyun, as he’s the youngest and has the best

stamina :)

He used to be on a soccer team when he was younger, so he naturally has great endurance. Even now, he consistently works out and takes care of his fitness.

Most importantly, these days he’s really into running. Even during the tour, he goes out by

himself in the morning and actually runs.

So if there’s a member who could perform all day long, I’d say it’s definitely JungHyun

6 - What was something that you ate during the tour, that really stood out to you?

HOJIN - I’m actually a very picky eater, so I tend to get quite nervous every time I go on an

overseas tour. Since my body is basically my instrument, it doesn’t make sense for me to

perform without eating. I know I have to eat something, but a lot of the time the food just

doesn’t suit my taste, so I came into this European tour feeling pretty anxious about that as

well.

But in Europe, most of the food I had—like pizza, bread, pasta, burgers, and chips—was

generally really good, so I enjoyed it more than I expected.

Out of everything, though, my favorite was the meatballs I had at a place called Camping Bar in Turin, Italy. They were served really hot, full of rich, savory flavor, and eating them together with bread was incredibly satisfying.

I don’t think they would taste the same if I had them in Korea. I really want to try them again

someday :)

JungHyun - The sausages really surprised me. I always thought sausages were mainly

famous in Germany, but I found out they’re also popular in the Czech Republic. When I tried

them, the flavor and juiciness were completely different from what I’ve had in Korea. And with a beer that pairs perfectly with them, it was even more amazing.

7 - If you could describe 2Z in 3 words what would it be?

JungHyun - Hope, Rock, and Alive. ‘Hope’ represents the core identity of our music, as all of our songs are connected by that message. Since our debut, we’ve been called “The Boys Singing Hope.” ‘Rock’ is not just our genre — it’s also about the energy of “let’s rock,” enjoying the stage and sharing that excitement with the audience. And ‘Alive’ represents the feeling we share on stage — we want people to feel alive, and we feel that same energy ourselves.

8 - Do you have any new music coming up that fans can look forward to?

ZUNON - Over the past six years, we’ve gone through the musical journey that we believe

every band should experience. Along the way, we’ve released nearly 60 songs.

Through that process, we gradually discovered our own character and musical identity.

That led us to release albums like “Highness” and “6 (SIX),” where we began to more clearly define our sound.

With these works, we’re trying to express a style that combines the energy of a band with a

sense of romance, along with the vibrant and uplifting feeling of dance music—what we

describe as the “Indie Dance” genre.

We believe that by pushing forward the genre of indie dance through 2Z’s unique identity and character, we can become the first image people think of when they hear K-rock or K-band. We are confident in this vision, and we will continue to put in the effort to make it a reality.

9 - What is something to do in order to get inspired in order to write new music?

HOJIN - I think there are many artists who rely on inspiration to create, but for me, I believe

the process starts more with habit.

As an artist, I think it’s really important to have the mindset and desire to constantly create

something. That’s why I’ve built a habit of recording and documenting everything on my

phone—whether it’s a short two-bar melody, a guitar riff, a bass line, or even lyrics.

There are many ways to find inspiration, but I think what matters more is being able to capture it and turn it into music when it comes to you. That’s why I try not to miss those moments and immediately record them on my phone.

When a small idea like that eventually grows into something that excites and moves people at a live show, it brings an incredible sense of excitement and a real rush of dopamine.

At the same time, I think traveling is really inspiring. Being in a completely different

culture—seeing different architecture, even noticing how the air smells different—can bring out new ideas and emotions.

Even during this Europe tour, I’ve already recorded a few new ideas on my phone :)

And I’ll do my best to capture the emotions I felt on this tour and bring them into our music when we return to Korea.

We’ll be creating music while thinking about all the people who made this tour possible, the

new fans we met, the longtime fans we were finally able to see again, and also those in other parts of Europe who are still waiting for us.

We hope everyone watching this interview will look forward to what’s coming next.

Thank you so much for inviting us to this KCE Interview :)
